Job Description

We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Corporate Paralegal   within our corporate legal team to help support our business. As a Corporate Paralegal you will have the opportunity to communicate and work with attorneys, service providers, and employees at all levels. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by assisting with the company’s ability to maintain compliance with legal requirements. The team you will be working with is professional and intuitive, and values the contribution you will make to the success of the company. We do not require candidates to have prior legal experience as comprehensive training will be provided. If you are detail-oriented, have an interest in corporate law, and value fun and collaboration, we want to hear from you! 

So, what will you be doing as a Corporate Paralegal?

  • Assist in drafting and filing corporate disclosures
  • Support governance and compliance projects
  • Research, analyze and apply regulations
  • Provide general administrative support to the attorneys in the Legal Derpartment

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • 3-5 years of work experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Effectively prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Protect confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in Excel and performing multi-step calculations

Things we consider a plus:

  • Bachelor degree strongly preferred
  • Accounting or financial background helpful
