The Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector - located in San Diego, CA has an immediate need for a Supply Chain Planning Specialist ( SCPS ), Level II for the JAD-G Operation Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to help drive execution, process and improvements within the Global Supply Chain organization. The candidate should have a general understanding of supply chain principles - material management, procurement, cost, quality, and logistics. This role will encompass supply chain responsibilities from inception (proposal support), execution, and program closeout. In the execution phase, the SCPS will interact with other operational functions and program team to monitor and provide status of material requirements, deliveries, mitigate schedule and quality risks, and build relationships with the supply base. The opportunity may involve Earned Value Management, forecasting, Intranet Program Review System (IPRS), and Return-To-Green (RTG) plans. Candidate should possess communication and writing skills, and should feel comfortable presenting to leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years or master's degree with 1+ years of combined experience in any of the following: Supply Chain; Program Management; Program Scheduling; Program Cost Analysis; Subcontracts Administration; Procurement; Engineering; or Manufacturing Engineering; or closely related
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Minimum 1+ year experience working in SAP (Systems Applications and Products)
  • Basic understanding of Bill of Material, Engineering Drawings, and Manufacturing
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in SAP
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering
  • APICS (Association of Production and Inventory Control) Certification
  • Minimum of 1 year experience creating pivot tables in Excel
  • Previous experience in supplier relationships
Salary Range: $70,200 - $105,200 Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
